Millar is taking his time developing his world and characters. You will find no action in this issue, but there's nothing wrong with that. It is intriguing. I still don't know what to make of the comic. It is enjoyable to read so far, yet nothing has caused me to either fall in love with or reject it. I like that Millar is so willing to develop his world, which in itself is enjoyable.The art is nice. The characters look nice, though are so far bland. Bonnie, for having lived so late in life, is resurrected as a pure, innocent young woman of 20-something. There is a surprising lack of philosophical thought on her situation. Religion shows up in a limited way, which is surprising considering the topic. What does Bonnie believe? What does she think about resurrecting as a woman in odd garb and given a weapon to fight? She seems at peace with the fact she will be asked to fight. All of this is to say that the series is providing me with enough questions to stick with it for now. I just don't know exactly what Millar and co. have in store for us.
